Durante el pasado mes de junio se matricularon en España un total de 316 cuatriciclos ligeros: 28 de gasolina, 169 de diésel y 119 totalmente eléctricos, según los datos de la Asociación Nacional de Empresas del Sector Dos Ruedas (Anesdor). En cuanto al canal de venta, se registraron 99 unidades en el canal de empresa, 207 unidades en el de particulares y 10 unidades en el de alquiladores.
Por otro lado, si nos fijamos en las marcas de cuatriciclos ligeros más vendidas durante el sexto mes del año en España, vemos que en el Top 3 se encuentra Citroën con 59 unidades matriculadas, situándose por detrás de Ligier, que con 60 unidades matriculadas ocupa la segunda posición en la lista de ventas. Por último, Aixam continúa siendo la marca de cuatriciclos ligeros más vendida en el mercado español con un total de 91 unidades matriculadas en junio.

En el acumulado del año (enero-junio) el ranking de ventas está compuesto por los mismos modelos, siendo el Citroën Ami el más vendido (286 unidades matriculadas), seguido de cerca por el Ligier JS50 DCI (272 unidades). La tercera posición la ocupa el Aixam City (212 unidades).
¿Qué es un cuatriciclo ligero?
Se trata de un vehículo de cuatro ruedas con una masa en vacío inferior a 350 kilogramos (sin incluir la masa de la batería para los vehículos eléctricos), cuya velocidad máxima es de 45 km/h y su cilindrada del motor es inferior o igual a 50 cm³ para los motores de encendido por chispa, o su potencia máxima es inferior o igual a 4 kW para el resto de motores.
